Once I finish preliminary work in my yacht design system, I will begin posting some designs.
My purpose is to create a fleet of boats as a database for the system.
However, since this is only a hobby... it will take a while.

( 3.1 / 51 )Performance Content

I have four current projects in the Performance section.
First is my lagrangian CFD code. I began the theory for this at Berkeley. I recently rewrote the project from scratch, and am working on ways to improve the stability.
Secondly, I am working on a boundary integral formulation for the potential flow around sailboats. I will most likely use a linearized free-surface.
Third, I already have my Michell's theory in spreadsheet form (and it is fast). I hope to incorporate this with my yacht design system.
Lastly, once I am able to incorporate one or more hydrodynamic tools, I will pair this with aerodynamic theory to produce a generic VPP.

( 2.9 / 32 )Structures Content

The structural design of a ship is the area which I have the least experience in writing software for.
I have made a 3d FEM code, as well as a 3d Direct Stiffness Method - except not for ships.
My current work is to make a generic spreadsheet for the scantling rules. Once I finish the scantling rurles, I will start on importing the more computational routines for use in ships.
